I hit the light switch at 2:30am this morning, turned and heard a crashing smash much like the sound of breaking glass. Picking up the glass, my finger snagged a sharp bit and made a small cut. It is always interesting how much blood can come out of such a small cut. Like when i'm sitting in the car with a bunch of 12-14 year olds, on the way home from a Christmas party that they loved, and they want more, and i feel like i do too. Like preparing endless posters for 500 of my peers, and suddenly it's fun, and i want more, and hopefully they do too.
A drinking glass smashing to the ground is not a very peaceful sound. Most of the time it's startling and ends with an "oh no." So much can come out of something that starts with an "oh no" though.

Sucking ants through a straw
That's just a completely random line that i thought i would throw in there. It's actually a dream that i just had. I was sucking up ants through a straw and i have no recollection of how they tasted. Today i had a meeting with Fairfax, i found out something i have been waiting to hear for a long time, and that perhaps i kinda forgot. It was like a blueprint for the ship's skeleton, complete with sections, elevations and measurements. Just like Hero said he would, "after the manner that i will show unto you". Sooner than later I need her to sail. I wonder if Nephi ever got scared like I do.

Banjo Man
Yes, the banjo man. I would always see him on some Sydney street somewhere, gracing passers by with whiffs of the islands. Today i saw him again, he was happily playing his banjo with a scatter of silver coins in his banjo case. I remember a couple of years ago he did't have a banjo, but held a sign that said that someone stole it or something like that... so he has a new one i see. The new one lies on the ground near all his possessions while he's off buying lunch. I guess that's probably how someone stole it. Leave your possessions unattended in some public place and they're bound to be stolen hey. I hope no-one steals his banjo again, because i really like his music.

Greetings from Palm Beach
Last Saturday afternoon, my friend Taryn and I took a drive up to Palm Beach, just 'cause. Just 'cause we could. It's been pretty hot lately and all of a sudden, as soon as we stepped out of my front foor it started to pour down mercilessly. What an enormous blessing since drought has reached considerable proportions to the point that the whole church population in Australia was taking part in a national fast for rain. The Saints must've started early. Either that, or we just were blessed ahead of time...
On the way to the beach, we saw a sign, it read "Baha'ai Temple" with an arrow pointing left. We looked at each other and decided to turn left. We spent a couple of hours at the visitor's centre talking to Rashiv, our guide. It humbled me to see his dedication to something he believed in and wished there were more people on around like him.
Palm Beach has orange sand. I've always remembered it as the beach with the orange sand. I have been wanting to go beachside since i returned home, but never got there. A rainy day and we had it to ourselves, well... us and some die-hard surfers who can't get enough. I have always loved the natural forms at the beach, the smells and the rhythm of the ocean. Beaches. They make Sydney so different, i see what a small city it is now, and it's awesome to have such beautiful parts of nature be part of such a concrete jungle as well.
